Day 5: Housekeeping and Cleaning
Day 6: Laundry, Ironing, Sewing & Mending
Day 7: Flower Arrangement
Day 8: Nautical Terminology. Knot Tying, Fenders, and Docking
Day 9: Guest On Board – Role playing from guest arrival to departure.
Day 10: Where & How to Get Hired. Final Written & Practical Exam. Graduation Day!

About Your Instructor: Irma Malabanan
Originally from Cebu, Philippines. Irma grew up with an insatiable desire to see the world. Landing her first job as a yacht stewardess on MY Pelorus, a Lurssen Built 115 meters motor yacht, she went on to enjoy a 20 year career, working on high-profile yachts, both private and charter, as Head of Housekeeping and Chief Stewardess roles.
Working in the high-octane yachting sector since 2002, Irma has a gained a great sense of understanding of the yacht dynamics, while developing a globally minded and a well-rounded education,
Even after starting a family, Irma continued to work on yachts as a freelance Chief Stewardess, as well as setting up a small business called le Tablescape (www.letablescape.com) – a curated rentable tablescapes, inspired from her worldly travels and love of table setting.
Irma’s extensive experiences have given her insight to the need for standardized training in all aspects of interior department, and has gone on to training interior crew, where she is passionate about making a difference.
Her depth of knowledge has significantly contributed to her teaching skills and ability to share her knowledge with her students, which she sees as a great honour. And is confident to delivering quality training for crew to gain the proper yachting standard.
